Gemini CLI is Google's open-source agent that brings Gemini models into the terminal for coding and other tasks, with extensions. Google states that, for unpaid-tier and Google One users, Gemini CLI was replaced by Antigravity CLI on 18 June 2026, and that it is not optimised for the newest Gemini model. Plans include a free tier, Google AI Pro and API-key use.
